depression.

Depression is more than feeling sad.  And treating it is more than just making yourself feel happy.  It can rob you of the energy to do things you used to enjoy, and be around the people you love.   If you suffer from depression and cannot seem to cope with life, it does not mean you are weak or flawed.  Depression can be caused by a combination of biological and environmental factors that sufferers have little control over.  Left untreated, depression can progress to inactivity and even suicidal thoughts.

However, depression can be effectively treated.  Therapy, in conjunction with anti-depressant medication,  can change the ingrained thought patterns that keep affected persons from focusing on the positive thoughts, feelings and events in their life.  Don't accept depression as "just the way I am."  Live the fullest life you can by being depression-free!
