Licensed Mental Health Therapist LCSW, LMFT, LMHC

Gulf Wind Counseling is a therapist-owned private practice serving the Tallahassee and Apalachicola communities. We focus on personal, office-based therapy services for families and individuals across all stages of life. We value therapeutic relationships and evidenced-based therapy models that achieve results for our clients.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a licensed clinician to help expand our client population. Client load and hours are flexible, but the best-fit clinician would see between 12-25 clients weekly on a schedule determined by you. LCSW, LMHC, LMFT are all welcome to apply. Our clinicians work from a furnished therapy room in our comfortable office suites. Sessions are primarily in-office with some telehealth. New client intake, billing and administrative work are handled by an in-office administrative assistant. Insurance credentialing and network preferred provider service is included immediately upon hiring. Training stipend is included as the best-fit clinician will seek to expand their expertise and skills.
Qualities for a Good Fit
  • Collaborative teamwork, including helping other team members, collaborating on cases, and providing input to constantly improve our workplace.
  • Strong passion for helping clients improve their lives.
  • Strong desire to expand your professional knowledge and therapy skills through regular paid training seminars and certification courses.
  • Solid knowledge of human emotions and behaviors, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral health disorders.
  • Strong working knowledge of therapy principles and intervention techniques.
Preferences for the Best-Fit
  • Masters degree or doctoral degree in counseling or social work
  • Active Florida license as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
  • Specialty or area of interest (ie. anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, family counseling)

​Job description:
Gulf Wind Counseling is a growing mental health practice focused on in-person and accessible psychotherapy services and family counseling. We serve a wide range of clients from children to adults, helping them develop the psychological flexibility to manage difficult life situations and private thoughts that get in the way of a meaningful life experience. We are seeking a part-time administrative assistant to work in our Tallahassee office.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a person who excels at working with people and making them feel welcome and comfortable. Our assistant is often the first person in our practice that clients interact with, so the best-fit candidate will be able to consistently make a positive impression. Work hours and schedule are flexible within the range of 16-20 hours weekly. The assistant should have solid communication abilities, good interpersonal skills and good organizational skills in using word processing, email and practice management software. A background check will be required for successful candidates before employment is finalized.
