Compassionate Therapy and Couples Counseling in Tallahassee and Beyond
Experiencing difficult thoughts and emotions is a part of being human. We all have the strengths to overcome these experiences, yet sometimes we find it difficult to access these strengths. That's where therapy and family counseling can help. Our practice values each person for who they are, and where they are in life. We believe therapy should be based on a strong relationship between client and therapist. Our therapists work with children and adults, either individually, in couples or in family groups. Therapy is more than talking and listening: it's about engaging with the client to help each individual live a more fulfilling life.
Gulf Wind Counseling was founded in Tallahassee with a vision to provide high-quality psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults regardless of socio-economic background. We strive to determine the best treatment strategies for each client using evidence-based therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy. If you need help with depression symptoms, anxiety symptoms, anger management or anything that is making your life stressful, we'll provide an open, accepting environment to improve your mental health.
